Relaxation room 

The relaxation room when complete will offer a range of activities, from self help art therapy, meditation, and group mindfulness session to a chatting space, calming area and a space to be yourself. 
 
We are also offering online services, which you can see below.  

Online Mindfulness sessions  

Beki - Our spiritual healing and Art therapy guide is now hosting online sessions to promote mindfulness through art therapy.  
However you rate your drawing skills - Art therapy is a wonderfully expressive way of sharing your feelings, and releasing emotions with no focus on the end result. 
 
The sessions we focus on here are guided self-help, so you can explore your feelings, or simply use the art work to clear your mind and help you relax. 
 
Please don’t be afraid to join in, there is no pressure and you don’t need to show your work to anyone if you don’t want to. 
These sessions are for you to use how you need. 
 
There are 8 sessions in the first series 
 
The sessions are suitable for the whole family if you wish, or just for yourself. 
 
Each session is £5 per household to purchase a single session or £25 for the full series. You will receive a copy of the videos if you wish to watch it again. 
 
Payment will be via pay pal, and the link for the video will be sent to you. 
If you can't attend the session at the specific time, please don't worry - You can watch it at your leisure when you received the video.

  Session 1 - Mandalas 

The focus of this session is to teach you how to make wonderful mandalas to help you relax.  
You don’t need any skill in drawing or colouring to create something lovely, and at the same time feel better in yourself. 
The use of mandalas is not only a way of learning to relax and clear your mind but also conductive to letting worries go and bringing a sense of calm back to your life. 
We live in a busy world, where we constantly have one worry or another flittering through our mind. 
Some people do this activity every day creating new patterns all the time.

Session 5 - Zendela 

This session we will be working with zendalas which is a mandala completed with zentagle patterns. 
By combining the mandala and the zentangle, we open up a new variety or drawing. 
As with the other sessions, there is no limit to what you can achieve. Zendalas can be extremely satisfying. 
 
For this session you will need - Paper, pencil, compass/circle, coloured pencils or preferred art medium.

Session 2 - Doodling 

Doodling is a wonderful way of clearing your mind, and letting your hand run free. 
Through this session, we will be learning how to doodle in a relaxing and effective way. 
Some people even find that they concentrate better when they are doodling, as it lets their mind centre on what is being said. 
Whilst we will be looking at different approaches to doodling, there really is no right or wrong way.

Session 6 - Scribble drawing 

 
For some people, scribbling may be the easiest and most satisfying type of drawing. 
 
It is certainly the easiest to master and pleasantly relaxing. 
Remembering the focus isn’t on the result but rather the process, we can let ourselves go and really enjoy what we are doing.

Session 3 - Self State drawing 

 
This is a relaxing exercise that helps you to discover more about yourself. 
By relaxing our mind and drawing what we feel, we can explore a vision of ourselves we may not have seen before. 
The process of drawing who you are can be very therapeutic and enlightening.

Session 7 - Colour wheel of emotions 

 
The colour wheel has many uses. We are using it not only as a mindfulness & relaxation exercise, but also a way of self-expression and realising your own feelings. 
 
Sometimes understanding the way we feel helps us deal with it better. 
 
You can use any art medium for this - pencils, paint, chalk etc.

Session 4 - Zentangles 

Zentangles are a more intricate looking type of doodling, but are surprisingly easy and calming to create. 
We will be exploring mindfulness through losing ourselves in the patterns, and you may surprise yourself how wonderfully easy it is to create a lovely picture whilst helping you to relax. 
 
All you need for this session is paper and a black pen.

Session 8 - A Grateful Madala 

The grateful Mandala is a similar process to making the Mandala, but we are going to think about the things that are good in our life. 
 
This is a very satisfying activity, and helps to remind us all that we have, especially when everything else is going awry.
