Food Intolerance Practitioners
Beki and Diane are both Lorisian food intolerance testing practitioners.
It is believed that 80% or more people suffer with food 'Intolerance' (Not allergy) and don't know about it. The link below shows you a list (not exhaustive) of common symptoms.
Although It doesn't show some of the more serious conditions that can be caused/or made worse by food intolerance such as heart problems, brittle bones, fibromyalgia etc. BA Wellbeing started looking into Food intolerance tests after Beki’s own experience.
Here is Beki’s story.
For a long time, I suffered with a lot or random ailments, none of which, a cause could be found. I would commonly get burning painfully hot hands and have to use ice to calm them down, hives were a regular on my hands and arms, I would feel hot all the time, I suffered from palpitations and an irregular heartbeat. The first time I ended up in hospital, it was thought I was having an anaphylactic shock, my heart was erratic, I had a rash come up all over my body and I was shaking and struggling to breathe, not to mention feeling sick and struggling to eat. I was kept in overnight then it was decided that it was caused by the drink I had the night before, and I was discharged.
The second time, I was rushed into hospital after I climbed out of bed screaming in agony with stomach pain and collapsed on the stairs. Every time my stomach moved I passed out. After checking my vitals and seeing my heart had settled, the hospital set to discharge me. My husband helped me into clean clothes, then helped me to the toilets. Half way there I had another wave of pain, and collapsed in the corridor, I remember my husband shouting for help, and then being put back into bed, my clothes removed again and admitted into hospital. However, the passing out, the stomach pain, the loose bowl movements were all pushed to aside and the doctors just looked at my heart. We made no progress on this occasion, although I was ill for another week after.
Following on from this I was put on heart tablets for life – the cardiologist explained that the condition I had, basically meant they didn’t know what was wrong. But the tablets made no difference at all. I walked past a shop one day that did intolerance tests and went in to enquire. I was willing to try anything to feel better.
Within a week I had a list of foods I shouldn’t be eating. Once I eliminated certain foods, my health drastically improved and I lost weight in the first few months dropping from size 10-12 to a size 8. My next visit to the cardiologist saw me discharged from their care as they acknowledged the food I had cut out could in fact cause it, but no one has ever mentioned to me that I should try this route.
If you have 1 or more of the symptoms listed on the site, and can identify with my story at all, then it really is worth checking. If the result comes back negative, then most of the cost of the test is refunded.
If you would like to talk about it further, or are interested in doing this, then please get in touch.

What are food intolerances?
There is a lot of confusion about the terms food intolerance and food allergy, and the differences between them. Many people think they have a food allergy when their symptoms can sometimes indicate food intolerance instead. Up to 45% of the population suffer from food intolerance which, whilst not life threatening, can have a negative impact on many aspects of daily life. When foods and drinks are digested the proteins within them are broken down into smaller fragments for easy absorption into the body. Larger fragments can pass through without breaking down, and sometimes the body reacts to them as invaders, attacking them using antibodies called Immunoglobulin (IgG). This can cause inflammation and a wide range of symptoms including headaches, digestive problems, IBS, bloating, itchy skin, joint pain, weight gain and low mood to name a few.
How do Lorisian food intolerance tests work?
First of all a few drops of blood are taken using Lorisians simple finger prick blood collection wick system.
Because the finger prick system is so easy to use, the sample can be taken anywhere.
The sample is then posted back to Lorisian laboratory, tested and analysed for IgG antibody reactions with up to 208 food and drink ingredients. Clear colour coded test results and support pack are delivered back to BA Wellness Enterprises Ltd, that explain your food and drink intolerances. This enables Beki or Diane to discuss in detail recommended dietary and nutritional changes - a fast track to an elimination diet that optimises health and wellbeing.
